a glimpse of heaven

today I had the opportune chance to go to reality carpenteria for sunday worship.
before the sermon, two missionaries were called up to the front and were given a beautiful and heartfelt standing ovation by the congregation.
these obedient servants of the Lord answered the call to minister to the natives in Venezuela, and their feats up to now have been absolutely amazing.
from learning the language of the people to being nearly finished in their attempt to translate the bible into that language, here was a couple that was glorifying God with their whole lives.

as I joined in with the rejoicing&saw tears of happiness glistening in their eyes, I was simply overcome with emotion.
truly truly, I felt that this moment was merely a glimpse of what heaven is going to be like.
when we have accomplished the tasks that we are here to undertake, I imagine the heavens rewarding us with the same, if not extraordinarily better, joyful noise.
I don't know about you, but I am ecstatic about the things we'll experience in the heavenly realm of our Lord.
